Atty. Derya Yurteri Çetin started her legal career with her education at Ankara University Faculty of Law, one of Turkey’s well-established universities. After successfully completing her law education, she completed her legal internship at the Ankara Bar Association and started her professional career as a lawyer by registering with the Ankara Bar Association with the registration number 30892.
Having successfully completed her master’s degree in Information Technology Law at Hacettepe University Faculty of Law, Atty. Derya Yurteri Çetin has deepened her expertise in the protection of personal data in this process. She actively carries out compliance projects for real and legal persons, official public institutions and organisations both in Turkey and abroad within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) No. 2016/679.
Atty. Derya Yurteri Çetin has earned the title of Data Protection Officer (DPO), which is held by a limited number of people in the European Union, and has registered her knowledge and experience in this field at the international level. She also holds the globally recognised and prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Lead Auditor and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 Personal Data Management System Lead Auditor certificates.
His areas of expertise are not limited to IT law and data protection. Atty. Derya Yurteri Çetin provides counselling services to Turkish citizens living abroad on various issues under Turkish law. In particular, she effectively manages legal proceedings related to foreign service borrowing.
